Our Vision

More than a decade ago, while driving down a rural West Virginia road, we encountered a young dog tied to a tree in the pouring rain. We couldn’t just drive by and forget about him. That moment inspired us to take action.

We began constructing dog houses for animals lacking a safe, dry home. Over time, we built about half a dozen—each crafted to enrich lives through comfort and protection from the elements. To our surprise, dogs weren’t the only ones in need; a few of our houses even found homes with some very grateful ducks!

During that time, we envisioned transforming that simple act of kindness into a more significant initiative. Life led us in different directions, and that dream had to wait—but it never disappeared.

Throughout the years, we connected with an incredible network of people who shared our belief that sometimes, a little help can make a world of difference for both people and the animals they love. This shared belief laid the foundation.

What began with one dog, one rainy day, and a desire to help eventually blossomed into the Full Bowls & Full Hearts Foundation, a dedicated non-profit organization. Today, our mission extends even further, but our heart remains the same—to assist individuals struggling to care for the pets they love by providing food and essential support.

That little idea from all those years ago now has a name, a clear purpose, and a bright future. Here we are, and we’re just getting started. ❤️🐾
